IN THE LAND OF MILK AND HOCKEY

Six months have gone by in a flash. It feels like only yesterday we were packing our bags for Thailand... Not only are our three months in Thailand done, but so are our three months in Australia. Well, actually, almost three months.

We were due to leave Australia on the 24th, but life decided otherwise. On October 31, after a beautiful day of snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef, we got the horrible news that Shane's father had passed away. It was sudden, no warning sign. Heart attack.

In a bit of a daze, we pushed our departure date earlier and headed home to Canada three weeks early. We are now in Portage-la-Prairie, Manitoba, with Shane's family, taking care of paperwork and spending time with loved ones.

As you can imagine, it has not been easy for anyone and most definitely not for Shane. With no will, many grown children and a business to keep going, Shane's father's passing has left us with more questions than answers. Thankfully, we are in a position where Shane is available to take care of his dad's business for a while while I continue working. We are thankful that we can be with family and we are figuring life out one day at this time.

Please keep Shane and his family in prayer as they grieve and move forward.

Thank you, everyone.
